I have been trying to find a space heater for a couple years now, and so far, everything I bought was a dismal failure. They each said they had a thermostat and gave the impression it would turn on and off and maintain the temperature I set. They did not.
BUT! Lasko Oscillating Digital Ceramic Tower Heater for Large Rooms, with Adjustable Thermostat to the rescue! It is taller at 29" and is completely silent! I have to put my hand in front of it to verify it's on. It oscillates smoothly without wobbling. It turns off and on maintaining the daytime temperature at 72. It maintains our nighttime temperature as well. It has a safety switch if it falls over, but we don't have children and we don't have any pets, so it's not something I worry about.

Work Great
We installed Solar this past year and have really loved having credits 8-9 months out of the year on our electric bills. Gas bills really rose last year for heating, and we decided this year to lower the heat in the house and use these electric heaters in the three rooms we spend most of our time to take the edge of when necessary, and I have to say, these heaters work great. Start feeling the room heat up immediately, and they are super easy to use. Simply turn them off when we leave the room. And best of all we got our first gas bill for December and it was 13 dollars higher than November (heat was not turned on in November in NM) which is nothing, and we still got a $62 credit on our electricity bill! The only thing that we noticied, is we got 3 heaters, and two of them used one design of the remote, and the third remote is a different design. They still all work the same, so its really not a big deal for us.
Helped me cut my power bill
I knew NW Florida was in for freezing weather and could see my central A/C unit running constantly so my daughter suggested this heater and it is fantastic! I closed off my 3 bedrooms and guest bathroom and this little heater kept my living room and kitchen comfortable all winter. Mater of fact one day the Air conditioner actually cut on because the little heater had heated the room to 81 degrees. I jumped up and turned it off until the room got cold again. May God Bless
