Takes the chill out of the room
I do have to say that this is one of the better space heaters that we have. We have a 1890's cape cod farmhouse that is not insulated very well. The 2 bedrooms on the first floor are 1950 addition, and don't really have much insulation as it should. That part under the house is inaccessible for some reason for the crawlspace. Part of our bedroom has about 3ft x 12ft as a cantilever, so cold air and drafts just love to come through that section. It makes the room so cold, down to 61 degrees sometimes! Brrr! When we turn this on and set it for 65 degrees it heats it up to almost 70 degrees in no time at all. We have vaulted ceilings, and the space is about 330 sqft. which is quite large for a bedroom, our first apartment was about this size! I have to knock the temp setting down about 4 degrees to actually be what I want it at. It does raise the electric bill about $15, but we have it running on ECO mode for our dog that stays in the bedroom when we are gone. Gotta keep the pup warm! This is a great purchase!
The best heater I've ever had.
A friend of mine had one of these heaters and recommended it to me when my old heater quit working. It's probably the best one I've ever bought. I've had it for almost a year now. It doesn't dry the air out like other heaters, warms the room much quicker and it also seems to run more efficiently than most because my electric bill did seem to drop a little bit compared to the old heater. I went and bought my mother one too and she loves it. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good heater.
The other reviews are right - the sticker sucks
You will need a blow dryer and goo gone or the top of the heater will peel RIGHT OFF! As for the heat output, beautiful. We have an open concept living/kitchen situation, we live at the top of a hill with terrible insulation. Every winter it’s like living in a fridge. This has been keeping up in the mornings where its 40degrees, so I’m excited for winter. As for the sticker!! It’s meant to leave behind a residue no matter what you do to remove it but removing sloooowly with a blowdryer, then letting goo gone sit for several minutes, wiping with a damp soapy cloth was the trick. No peeled wood staining and its like the sticker was never there. Its a cute unit to have in your space so well worth it to take the extra few minutes to make sure the top (which is the most visible) doesn’t get peeled and ripped apart by a poor sticker design choice
