I’ve had this unit for 2 months now and it’s perfect for our basement and wife’s craft room. It easily heats the room ( 13x25 ) with no issues at all! Mounting unit is super easy it comes with a template with a built in level. All you have to do is place template on wall and mark the holes on the template to the wall. Drill out the hole and insert provided plastic inserts (4) then insert your screws. Then just align unit with the top 2 screw’s and lock them in the slots. Last step is to tighten the 2 bottom screws on the unit. Instructions are very easy to follow. The remote is straightforward and you can easily adjust the temperature up or down from the remote. We have our unit preset for 68 degrees, this unit senses when you’re in the room and displays your preset temp on the screen. Love the blower it’s SO Quiet and the oscillating bar directs the heat up to the ceiling and to the floor! You can’t go wrong with this unit well worth the money.

This heater works! In December, my gas wall hot air heater was leaking a little carbon monoxide and I had to get a new heater for my studio. The cost of a split was outrageous (it increased by about $6k in the last two years). and I already had a fine portable air conditioner, so I started looking for an alternative. I tried several of the stand-alone electric heaters, but they did not give enough heat. So, found this, and I was surprised by how easy it was easy to install. Then, more surprised by the unit's quietness and heating capability.

My studio is 400 sq ft and it did a reasonable job, but not quite enough and I felt I would have to be running it at the highest setting (H-3) endlessly. So, I bought a second one and the distribution is now perfectly balanced! I leave it on through the night at about 67 degrees and when I come in the next morning I set it to H-2 for a while and then set it for around 70-72 during the coldest times. Perfect.

I feel that should either of these last two years running though the cold winters, I am ahead of the game, and I would buy two more in a minute. But so far, there is nothing to indicate that these will not last several more years. Very good product!

The one curious thing is that occasionally when turning on the heatin the morning, there is a sweet smell in the room. I am not sure about what could cause that or if others have experienced the same thing. If so, maybe someone can clarify the cause?

For being a smaller unit it does put out a good bit of heat. It easily mounts to a wall and you're warming up a drafty room in no time. We especially love the app controls from the phone. You can set it to maintain a temperature, like a larger system would. It also integrates well with Alexa making it even easier to turn on from another part of the house, so the room is comfortable when you walk in. It's a great value for the price.

The radiant floor heating in my small bathroom was not working properly and I didn’t want to rip up the tile floor to replace it. Found this heater. Installed it with no problem. A template is included with a small level attached. Drilled through the tile wall with a diamond tipped bit and used the hallow wall anchors. Bought a wire management kit at Lowe’s. Came out great. Download the app and control it or use the remote control. Heats up the space fast. Use the energy saving feature to maintain the temperature. Like the safety plug. It’s like a mini circuit breaker if anything should ever happen to the heater. Highly recommended.

Bought this for our attached garage-turned-home gym. The space is about 12' x 20' with 9' ceilings (see pic), insulated and finished, with a concrete floor covered with rubber gym matting, a large 7' x 8' window/sliding door in place of the old paneled garage door, 1 med-sized normal window. One large wall is shared with the house, all other walls are shared with the outside. The ceiling has two 3' x 4' access openings that are covered with 1" insulating panels, and rest of ceiling is insulated and shared with an unheated attic space that stays whatever temp the outside is. Colorado climate. Giving these details to account for a number of different variables when rating the heating.

For the price and size, this thing is great.

HEATING (all ratings for the H3 'High' heating level):
1) If outside is <10 degrees, this thing can generally keep the space in the 40s.
2) If outside is 10-20 degrees, keeps the room in the low 50's.
3) If outside is 20-45 degrees, room is in the mid-high 60's.
4) For 45+ outside, we either don't have this on, or it will keep the room in the 70s.
5) If it's 70+ degrees out, and you have this on high, you better be doing hot yoga or you will be dying.

CONTROLS
On-device controls are whatever - straightforward. BUT - The Dreo app (see pic) that controls this thing through WiFi is amazing - most product utility apps are afterthoughts, have horrible UIs, and are buggy/glitchy. This one is not the case - UI is great, have had zero problems controlling the unit from inside our house, and it is just plain functional (including the ability to display the current temp of the room). I honestly don't even use the controls on the unit even if I'm right next to it.

Using the app you can also set schedules, control with Alexa/Google Assistant, add other Dreo devices, etc.

FEATURES (key ones that I use/like)
1) Exhaust (where the heat comes out) can be pointed down, straight, or upwards, OR can swing up and down between all of them.
2) ECO mode will heat until the set temp is reached. H1/H2/H3 modes will just heat with various power until you shut it off.
3) It's light. Weighs like, a few pounds. I can pick it up with one hand easily.

NOISE
It's quiet. Really no louder than the standard heating in our house. In our gym I'm usually playing some music, but even if you're not, it's quiet enough that you'll probably forget it's on after a few minutes.

COST OF OPERATION
Where we live, electricity is about $0.109/kWh for peak, with $0.064/kWh for off-peak. This means if it's always peak (which it's not) AND we're running this 24/7, it's about $4 per day at most for 1500 W (1.5kW) of electricity. If we assume peak/off-peak is a 50/50 split (again, a high-end estimate), it's just over $3/day.

Overall: Solid heater for a space the size we have.

We ordered this heater for our basement. It says not to use an extension cord. I didn't think about the multi plug that goes right in the outletw as being an extension. It started melting with the heater plugged in it! I felt so dumb but thought I'd see if there was anything they could do. I contacted them through email and they sent a replacement! I was so thankful. It warms up the family area. We have it attached to the wall. We also realized the old outlets (possibly from the 70's) were melting also! After my husband replaced the outlet with a new one we've had no problems. Just make sure your outlets aren't old.
The remote is nice so we don't have to go around the couch to turn it on and off. There has not been a smell issue since we stopped melting plastic!😄
